Ribbons and Bows : Stamp-n-Doodle challenge April 26th

Good morning and welcome to my crafty blog!

todays post is my DT project for the new challenge that started  the 26th April over at  Stamp-n-Doodle .  Ribbons and bows is the theme and there are some fine examples from the DT  using  Stamp-n-Doodle  digital images embellished with, of course, Ribbons and Bows.

Stamp-n-Doodle    are offering a digi image of the winner's choice plus a badge for the 1st place winner. The winners of the Top 3 spots get a Stamp-n-Doodle badge to display on their blog.

I chose the digi image of a young girl with her Cell/ Mobile Phone/ Handy (depending on where you live, pick one) waiting for a call.

I've printed the digi image with a  lilac frame from Word and I've used my Tombow waterbased markers to colour the digi image. The image was matted on Purple, Pink  and Lilac cardstock and some faux lines pencilled in with a purple maker.  I added some lace and pink gingham ribbon 'with a bow' to anchor the image to the based of the card and addedthe stamped sentimemt " Call Me!" from Stamps of Life . I used a gold metallic pen to highlight the necklace and bracelet to abring a bit of subtle bling to the finished card.

Love Paints - Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge.

Hello and welcome to my crafty blog,

today I am posting my DT card for the  The Crafty Bloggers Network new challenge starting today.  The challenge theme is 'Love Paints' and you are encouraged to get out the paints, acrylic, watercolours, water-based pens etc  and just create!  Take a trip over to the challenge blog to check out the other FAB DTprojects and join in with us.

I've used a 14.5 x 10 cm piece of watercolour paper and 'washed' in  broad lines of deep pink and light brown waterbased inks. I allowed each 'wash' to dry completely before adding more layers of colour. I like the effect you get with the tone-on-tone  adding of more layers. For added texture a strip of navy paper, with a gold embossed design was adhered at the bottom.  The quotation and branch stamps from Tim Holtz, stamped in black complete the card.

Thanks for visiting and reading my blog. Your time and comments are appreciated.

Here is my contribution for the current challenge.

Thank you so MUCH!

A piece of white card stock was embossed using a Sizzix embossing-folder that had first been rubbed over with a gold shimmer ink pad. Making sure the first layer of ink is dry,  rub over the embossed image with blue and green distress inks, higlighting the raised part of the embossing. Roughen up the edges with a paper-distressing tool and here and there a rubbing with some fine sandpaper. To finish the card, a dusting  of gold embossing powder and set with a heat-gun. The card is completed with a teal polka-dot ribbon and a sentiment printed from my PC, die cut using a Nestabilities Label die.

We are also looking for new DT members, so don't forget to check this out too!

Bounty of Buttons - The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog

Hello and welcome back to my crafty blog.

Today I'm posting my DT card for the new challenge starting today 15th April over at the   The Crafty Pad   and the theme is Bounty of Buttons.  The images for the challenge have been provided by our wonderful sponsor  Robyns Fetish and I've chosen the digi stamp Cute Bear for my DT card.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5
digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper set of their choice.

Pop over to the  The Crafty Pad   and check out the other DT creations. Some really great examples to inspire you for the Bounty of Buttons Challenge.

The digital image was printed onto white cardstock and coloured with Tombow waterbased markers.

The bow was made with a strip of yellow cardstock , punched with a border punch and folded 'concertina wise' and then made into a circle. A piece of white tulle was added to the back of the yellow circle and a heart with a stamped sentiment from Verve Stamps was adhered to the front. The buttons as flower centre complete the card.

The digi image is from Robyn's Fetish, green backing paper Stampin' Up, the remaining papers and embellishments came from my stash.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges

2 Sisters - Flowers

Crazy 4 Challanges - Buttons C4C132
