Stepper Card

Todays post is a card I've made for the Ditzy-Craftymessers Daily Challenge on Facebook.  A stepper card for a man.

Don't know about you but some card themes are difficult and maculine cards always give me trouble.  I tried to 'man' this one up with a gardening theme and I have to admit, I had fun working outside my comfort zone.  I also got to play with some Memory Box dies I bought recently.

The card base is an A5 side-stepper card made from white cardstock. I used  brown and blue corrugated card to make the shed and the Memory Box- Garden Gate Die, to make the fence. I just removed the decorative tops to the cut-outs to make the sections of fence. I had some freebies die-cuts from a craft magazine for embellishments and the main sentiment was cut using my Cricut. The green and Blue backing paper is from the same sheet from Folia.

Adhering the fence was a bit tricky, it is so delicate, so I used some spray on glue. Not ideal, but I don't know of any other way to secure the fine bits to cards. Still getting to know my Cricut and I need to get some pennies together to buy a couple of different cartridges, but this 'George and Basics' cart has a lot of good stuff on it.

I probably should have gone for Cars and tractors or bikes and sport....but I got none :) So gardening it was.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. I enjoy reading your comments so don't forget to leave one.
