Christmas Wishes- Christmas Crafting Challenge Blog

Hi All again!

it's been a busy 1st of March. Lots of new challenges and DT projects to upload including this one for the Christmas Crafting Challenge Blog for which I am a guest designer this month. WooHoo... big thrill and super chuffed.

The challenge this month is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and Stamps and this is the image I chose for my DT card. The challenge was to take a 'non-Christmas' image and make it into a Christmas card. This image is called 'now I lay me down to sleep' and I imagined the little bear making his Christmas Wishes before he goes to bed. Cute.

The image was printed onto white card and coloured using Tombow water-based markers. I was able to water down some of the colours using an acryilc block and spritzes of water.  This allowed me to layer the colours where I wanted to lay in shadows and highlights. I then cut out the coloured image which was popped-up on some dimensional pads and adhered to a blue and white polka-dot background. The image was framed by cutting a scalloped oval shape from a piece of patterned paper and the paper placed over the raised image to create the frame. A dark blue ribbon was threaded through the centre of the card and tied together with silver cord and a little silver bell. Some dots of Diamond Stickles and a circle sentiment completed the card.

Loved this challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Don't forget to leave me a comment, I love hearing from you.
