Mum's Tote Bag

Hi All

Just blogging my Ditzy-Crafty Bloggers daily challenge entry for the 27th Feb.

Made usings  a tote bag template I bought from  Creations by A.R.a long time ago. It is a digital template that makes a decent sized bag. I used my photo copier to get the size I wanted. The papers are all from Stampin' Up.
Hand cut and adhered with double-sided tape and blue brads,  the tote bag comes together quite easy.

The challenge was for a card, which this isn't but I think it's cute, and I hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog. Your time and comments are appreciated.

Spring! - Crafty Bloggers Network

Hello All,

Here is my DT card for the Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge Blog.  The theme this time is Springtime.

The Hearts Canopy  was cut into some green gingham card using a MemoryBox die. Some bright pink card was attached to the back of the gingham card and the 'Twiggy' tree trunk  was stamped on the front in brown ink to complete the tree effect.  A ribbon in  pale green organza with white flowers on it was atttached to the bottom of the gingham card and the letter S P R NG were added in bright yellow card, the tree trunk replaced the missing I.  The card was finshed with a green and white bow with a dark green button in the centre. The tree reminds of the first signs of Spring, when the Cherry Blossom tree bursts into bloom.

The 'Twiggy' tree stamp was made using the MemoyBox die of the same name and cutting the shape out of foam. I then glue the cut out foam shape to a clear block and, Voila! I have a stamp of the die-cut.  Cool !

Here is my DT card for the Black and Pink Challenge.

The card was inspired by the freebie backing papers from issues 96 of Quick Cards Magazine and teamed with some black, pink and white cardstock.
The freebie paper was printed onto parchment to get a translucent effect to allow some of the black from cardstock beneath to come through. A belly band of dark pink organza ribbon was added and a 'With Love' sentiment from the same freebie pack was matted onto black, white and pink cardstock. The black card stock had beeen stamped with a damask pattern using Versamark and clear embossing powder to add texture. The completed topper was mounted onto a 5x5 mirri-card base in silver. The card was finished with some Rayher paper flowers fastened together with a pink heart brad and a 'tail' of the same organza ribbon.

Shabby Chic- Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge

Shabby Chic 'Love'

Hi all you lovely crafters,

here is my DT project for the

starting today and runs for the week. I love the shabby chic style I was delighted to get an opportunity to make my first 'shabby'card.

I had just taken delivery of some Wild Rose Studio'Letters from Paris' backing paper I bought from Creatief and they proved to be ideal for this project. The ribbon, lace, bow ans buttons came from my stash

The green script backing paper was distessed with green ink, crumpled and torn, and adhered to a white cardstock base that had been ink distressed also. A strip of lace was added to the left-hand side of the card and embellished with a hand-made lace and ribbon flower with a suede-heart brad at the centre. The torn corner of a lace doilly,  distessed with green ink was creased and pleated and adhered to the card. The birdcage was cut from white cardstock and distressed and added to the card.A piece of white card was used for the word 'love' and the card was finished with a pink bow and buttons

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Your time and comments are appreciated.

Girl on a Swing - Cards Galore

Hi or is it good morning!

this is what I did when I couldn't sleep.  An exercise in Monochromatic colouring from Cards Galore , colouring using, in my case, a Copic pen. Sort of a personal dare to see if you can work with just one colour. Resisiting the temptation to keep adding more, it produces a really nice effect and I will give this another go with a different colour. As the Copics work better with either Memento inks or Ranger distress inks (I learned the hard way that Stäz-on marks the nibs  :§  ) I am a little limted in my choice of colours...until, that is, I invest in more Ranger products :), but I will do this again

The image was stamped with Ranger Broken China and the Copic pen was B000.

Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. Your time and comments are appreciated.

Things with wings - Charisma Cardz

Over at Charisma Cardz  they a running a 'Things with Wing' challenge and I thought I have a go. I am still trying my hand at Tags and smaller papercraft items like ATCs and inchies and this is my effort for today. 'Things with Wings'  - birds, butterflies, time , hearts...a bit of an art-smash going on here AND I got to mess around with inks.

I used the Tim Holtz Tags and Bookplates die to make the base using light brown cardstock. I adhered the old paper to the base, roughened the edges and then sponged the tag with a mixture of Forest Green, Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo inks.  The bird and branch were stamped in Forest Green distress ink and the cage was cut from green cardstock using the MemoryBox Wired Bridcage die.  Some more distressing and a torn heart was tucked behind the paper and stamped with clock face. A gold wing was added from the Tim Holtz Fanciful Flights die. The tag was finished with a mask made using the Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart and inked here and there  in Violett ink, gold braid to decorate the base of the cage and the bottom of the tag has a border made with the MemoryBox Pristine Borders die cut from gold backing paper.

Thanks for stopping by to read my blog, I appreciate your time and your comments.
