Pick a Country - Craftymess Challenge #22

Hello all and welcome to my crafty  blog.

My post today is my DT card for the new challenge at the  Craftymess Challenge Blog and the theme is 'Countries' chosen by Teamie  Nicky.

Nicky

Our sponsors for this challenge is  Sassy Studio Design and they have supplied the DT with some of their wonderful sassy images to coordinate with the theme.

Sassy are offering the winner digi images of their choice.

My cardbase is a standard A6 made with white cardstock to which I have matted a piece pink patterned paper and added a strip of cream lace along the bottom. I chose the Japanese image and used Copics and Sprectrum Noir pens to apply the colour.  The sentiment was stamped onto the same pink paper and punched out. This was then adhered to a punched scalloped circel and popped up with dimensional adhesive.

I tried not to crowd the image and resisted adding too many embellishments.

Please pop along to the Craftymess Challenge Blog  and take a look at the wonderful work on display from my DT teamies and be inspired to join in.

Thank you for taking the time to pop in and read my blog.  Your time is appreciated and I love getting your feedback.

Hi and welcome to my crafty blog.

Today I am posting my DT card for the new challenge starting today over at  Craftymess  Challenge Blog.  I got to set the challenge for this fortnight and my theme is 'Vintage Paris'
.
Our sponsors for this challenge are Sassy Studio Design who have given the DT team some wonderfully delicious digital stamps to work with for our project samples.

Sassy Studio Designs is a fresh new company. We have been designing and selling for 2 years now, and we have been kindly received into the community of digi stampers and crafters. I started designing images shortly after I started stamping, reason being...I didn't hardly like anything else out there I was a young adult woman at the time I was engaged, had no kids, I wanted fun sexy images that I would enjoy using and my friends and hubby would enjoy receiving. I designed images for 2 other digi stamp companies when my wonderful hubby kept trying to get me to go out on my own. So in June 2009 thanks to the few faithful followers I had, Sassy Studio Designs was born!  It has been a wonderful journey starting my own store. We have just grown so much these past months.I still try to keep
Lindsay Dyer: keep with my original philosophy and reason for designing stamps, make them fun and keep them sassy...and yes sometimes even sexy!

Here is my DT project for the Vintage Paris Theme

The  card was made with a 14x14cm cardbase covered with a pink patterned Eiffel Tower backing paper. I've used a black and white photo of the Paris Opera for background detail and to create perspective for the digi image.I wrapped some fine blue organza ribbon and some lace to the photo and adhered it to the front of the card.
My Fair Lady has been coloured with watercolours in blue and deep pink, and then cut out. The image was popped up on some dimensional adhesive and placed on the card. The result is very OOH LA LA!

Please take a minute to check out the Craftymess Challenge Blog. The DT have created some Tres French projects for you to enjoy :)

Thank you for stopping by toview and read my blog. Your time is appreciated and your comments mean a lot.
