Irish Dancer -Stamp n Doodle Challgenge
Hi All,
the March 'Stamp of the Month' Challenge starting today over at. Stamp n Doodle is a motif close to my heart, an Irish Dancer. It brings back memories of the dancing classes attended as a child, filled with lots of laugher, music and fun.
My DT card was made uing a 5x5' orange cardbase onto which I matted a dark green cardstock square. The cailín. (girl) a digital stamp from designer Teagan at Stamp n Doodle, was printed onto white cardstock and cut out using a Nellie Snelling scalloped die. The image was coloured using Tombow waterbased markers.
The flourish embellishments were die-cut using the Sizzlits Decorative Strip die. I finished the card with a hand-made rosette made using orange satin and green and white ribbon, with a yellow and orange paper flower at the centre. The sentiment, printed from my computer onto white card and attached to the card with dimensional adhesive, completed the card.
In comparison to the vibrant colours used in todays Irish Dancing Costums my colours are very traditional and I OK with that. You can take the girl out of Ireland, but you can't take Ireland out of the girl.
Thanks again for stopping by to check in with the blog. Your time and comments are appreciated.
